The year 2010 has presented us with many wonderful opportunities. It's true every year. Our work with youth is gratifying and productive. Every minute spent coaching, teaching, listening to, sharing with a young person is likely to manifest itself ten times over.
Now that school's back in session, we'll dig in and continue to nurture and grow minds.
Our youth are our harvest.
It is our privilege to serve our communities.
The AfroFlow Tour came to the Dusable Museum and was a big hit! Presented and sponsored by the American Cancer Society, the Chicago Dept. of Public Health and Y2Kwanzaa.Org,
AFT featured hip-hop artist Mike E, poets Khari B and Deanna Dean, hip hop m.c. Vicksburg Kid and Minianka African Drum and Dance Ensemble.
Performing to a multi-generational packed house, each artist rocked it with positive messages wrapped in cultural expression.
